- Always eat breakfast. Willis Michalchuk believes that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Eating breakfast will prevent you from binging later due to being over-hungry. It is also important to eat a balanced breakfast to help kick start your metabolism for the day.
- Snack smart. Willis Michalchuk states that it is okay to have a snack; however, it is important that you eat the right snack. If you need a small meal in between your main meals to help curb hunger, reach for fresh fruit and vegetables, nuts, low-fat yogurt, etc.
- Keep a journal. Keeping a food journal will hold you accountable to your healthy lifestyle. Willis Michalchuk believes that food journals are also beneficial because they can help you track your habits as well as your progress.
- Exercise. You do not need to spend hours at the gym to get an adequate amount of exercise. Willis Michalchuk suggests taking your dog for a walk, going hiking, or taking your children to the pool. Exercise can be fun and easy, you just need to make sure that your blood is flowing!
- Get more sleep. Willis Michalchuk believes that sleep is crucial for a healthy lifestyle. It gives your body time to rejuvenate and feel rested for the next day. Additionally, Willis Michalchuk notes that enough sleep will help keep your metabolism on track
